
Curriculum
Ulaanbaatar Empathy School delivers the internationally recognized Cambridge curriculum and Mongolia’s core secondary-education curriculum in combination, and instruction is delivered bilingually in Mongolian and English.
1. Middle-school studies (Grades 6–8)
At this stage, students “Lower Secondary” (Cambridge Checkpoint) curriculum, building and consolidating their foundational knowledge.
- Mathematics
- Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- English
- Information Technology
2. Upper-secondary foundation studies (Grades 9–10)
Students “Upper Secondary” (IGCSE) curriculum. At this stage, the range of subjects expands and deepens:
- Core subjects: English, Mathematics, Information Technology
- Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology
- Social Sciences: Business Studies, Global Perspectives (Global trends)
3. Advanced studies (Grades 11–12)
Beginning in the 2020–2021 school year, the school “AS & A Level” curriculum. Depending on their future profession, students choose from the following three subject packages only one — which they study in depth:
Elective tracks:
- Humanities: Mathematics, English, Global Perspectives, Business Studies
- Engineering: Mathematics, English, Physics, Computer Science
- Medicine: Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology
4. AP (Advanced Placement) Program
Since the 2021–2022 school year, Ulaanbaatar Empathy School has AP examination centre and obtained the right to become one. To prepare students for the exams, it runs an additional program in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology
5. Foreign-language options
In addition to the core curriculum, students may choose to study the following foreign languages:
- Chinese
- German
- Russian
- Korean (newly added from the 2023–2024 school year)
